In any business you have to stay in touch with your clients. They say the money is in the list. What does it mean? It means that e-mail marketing is one of the most powerful tactic you should use to truly succeed in your internet marketing business (and any business for that matter) and it has to be done right to be successful.
But in order to do e-mail marketing you have to send e-mail messages to somebody. It appears that you have to collect your customers’ e-mail addresses in one or several lists and setup a series of marketing messages and follow-ups. In order to do this you have to use an autoresponder service, generically known as e-mail marketing service. It enables you to pre-program a number of letters that can be delivered in a set order and at a set number of days apart. The first in the series is delivered when a specific event occurs, like subscriber opted in, a product is being bought, some link in a message is clicked, etc.
The subscribers of your autoresponder lists typically subscribe themselves by opting in using a form. Normally, they willingly give their e-mail address and optionally other personal data like the name.
You can use an autoresponder to keep your subscribers updated with the content of your blog, or when you want to market a product.
When I begun my activity in IM niche I tried MailChimp free subscription, but eventually moved to GetResponse. MailChimp free subscription is offering only newsletter functionality. If you want autoresponder, you have to upgrade to one of the paid subscriptions.
